Diagnostic Sleep Study | First Night Study

The diagnostic sleep study measures your nighttime sleep patterns when being remotely observed by a sleep technician.

The process starts by connecting you to various leads and sensors, which allow the sleep technician to record and monitor your sleep. These painless sensors are placed in the following locations:

  • On the scalp and face
  • On your finger, to monitor the oxygen level in your blood
  • Belts around your chest and belly to measure breathing
  • Small pads on your chest record your heart waves
After lights out, you will not be disturbed for the remainder of the night.
